According to the Daily News, Shivana Persad, a 26-year old former Chase banker, says she was "treated like a second-class citizen" while working at a Chase Manhattan branch in Queens, NY.

After Persad "complained to a Guyanese manager" about "two co-workers having sex near a copy machine," she was told: "You Trinis need to mind your own business." In addition, Persad "alleges the branch manager called Trinidadians 'lazy' and 'nickel-and-dime workers' and made her work on the Hindu holiday Diwali."
