The Kids Who Are Killing It In Finance

IDD’s third annual 40 Under 40 list of the top young financial services executives proves there’s much life after Goldman and Morgan.

In addition to executives at big firms such as Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank, the list includes young dealmakers from well-known middle-market banks like Houlihan Lokey, Baird and Moelis & Co., as well as very small shops with names you’ve probably never heard of such as the Sage Group, Balter Capital Management, Weil Gotshal, Clearlake Capital, Irell & Manella, Telsey Advisory Group, and Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel.

If you’re keeping score diversity-wise, and perhaps giving a good representation of the current state of diversity at the top ranks in financial services, of the top 40, four are women and five are minorities (of the minorities, all are Asian).
