Wayne Law is the only option if you want to go Detroit "biglaw." All large Detroit firms interview on campus. I found professors to be great and invested in their students.

Downers

The administration is a nightmare. Especially after coming from a large university

Comments

Be involved with school life and meet with professors often

Location and facilities are excellent. Great connection to the community through professors and clinical program opportunites. Access to the federal court (E.D. Mich), the Court of Appeals and the chambers of three MI Supreme Court Justices, as well as a variety of federal organizations, which can be an invaluable source for internships during the school year or in the summer.

Downers

Administration can be cumbersome at times, and the "commuting" student population can sometimes make it feel less of a "connected" experience.

Comments

If you're planning to practice in Michigan, this is one of the best schools you can attend. Nearly every firm in MI (large, mid-size and small) hire from WSU, and most interview on campus.
