the classes that are more practical tend to get more criticism from other students and the administration, but will probably be the best thing I learn in law school.

Quality of Life

The majority of classes are theoretical. The class size depends on the subject, the general courses are often much larger than the small ones. The school has some excellent faculty members, unfortunately many of them have left over the course of time that I have been a student here.

Quality of Life

Boulder is a great city for outdoorsy people, however housing is extremely expensive. It is also lacking in diversity. Many of the diverse students that I know live in Denver because they are more comfortable there than in Boulder.

The class quality is quite good. Most professors are very knowledgeable and professional. There are many good practical courses, particularly the clinics and the availability of externships. There is a wide range of teaching styles. Some professors cold call all semester, others use a panel system so you know when you'll be on call. Mandatory and first year classes are generally quite large with 50 - 80 students. First year legal writing classes are around 25 students. The rest of the electives range from 8 - 40 students depending on the popularity of the class. Several classes each semester are offered by state and federal judges and justices. Grading is always curved on a B+ median.

Quality of Life

Boulder is quite expensive. However, the campus is beautiful and the new law building is great. The quality of life in Colorado can be wonderful overall. The mountains are right here so there is camping and hiking and skiing opportunities all the time.

Admissions

The application process is reasonable. You must include an essay and references. Decent LSAT scores are required. You must use LSAC. The school offers financial aid in the form of loans to almost every student. Scholarship opportunities are severely lacking. It seems that scholarships are concentrated in a few students. The criteria for the scholarships is a mystery.

Too much focus on practical study and not enough quality theory offerings. Also, there is a lack of general academic advising.

Quality of Life

Absolutely amazing building and library that is one of the best on the entire campus.
