DownersIn Engineering, class experiences can be very average despite excellent faculty, and study abroad opportunities are limited
CommentsMichigan can offer all of this despite being a genuinely fun place to be. Ann Arbor, the football games, the school pride are as good as anywhere.

There are plenty of recruiting opportunities available to top students from Michigan. Classes are interesting and sufficiently challenging.
DownersSome professors (especially in the College of Engineering) have very poor English skills, which sometimes makes it difficult to follow along in class. Also, the average student at Michigan was not a superstar in high school, which makes working in group projects (as a top student) often more of a hassle than anything else.
CommentsDo well in school and on the ACT/SAT and apply early action.
