Tuition is cheap, even for a non-New Yorker; there is a wide variety of classes scheduled throughout the week, which enables you to schedule classes on only two days a week or only during the nights, allowing you to work or take care of family the rest of the time.

Downers

It's generally a commuter school, and campus life is not all that active or fun; no real sports program to get behind; parking is miserable if you drive.

Comments

Has a decent reputation in New York, and if you're a native English speaker, you are at a tremendous advantage, given that a large portion of the student body is not.

Beautiful campus, new, clean dorms! The political science professors were so interesting

Downers

Very hard to help with certain careers, do not necessarily help you with advice

Comments

A really great affordable option. If you know you want to do grad school especially. I recommend becoming a student ambassador.
