Great work opportunities, career-oriented, lots of research opportunities, employers love us

Downers

Everyone is so ridiculously competitive that it gets really hard to survive. No mental health services.

Comments

If your reason of going to Northwestern is to go into investment banking, get a life.

Great classes and fun environment. There are so many opportunities - educational and social.

Downers

Some of the best and well-known class are very large.

Balance out education and fun. There is something for everyone.

“Top tier school”

Powerful name, incredible professors, access to Kellogg. Alumni happy to give back by helping current students. MBB is huge on campus, BB as well, and Medill blood runs through most reputable news sources.

Downers

Can't talk about Northwestern without talking about cost. 48k a year is expensive, and a hefty investment.

Comments

MMSS is incredible in amplifying all of Northwestern's best traits. It's a small community of some of the smartest people at Northwestern. You get to meet all of them (regardless of year), get into exclusive classes (Rogerson's game theory is the best class at NU), and if you send an email to a MMSS alum starting with "Hi, I'm an MMSS student...", you get an incredible response rate.

Beautiful campus, true college town feeling with easy access to Chicago, great student-teacher ratios in most classes, great professors

Downers

Cold winters, high tuition, career services is great if you want to go into consulting and middling if you want to do anything else.

Comments

Northwestern is the best of both worlds - the education and connections of an elite school, with Big Ten athletics and a strong Greek scene. I loved my time there!
