The class sizes are large.

Admissions

I remember it was fairly easy to apply. I applied early action, so a lot of stress was taken off.

Must complete a core of general requirements then classes become specific to majors. Internships are encouraged but not provided by the university. Work load is challenging, and overloading is accepted with 3.5 GPA or higher. Faculty is approachable. Research is the focus of most professors however. Study abroad is available. Many classes are very competitive because they are graded on a curve.

Quality of Life

The Mountainview community (my community) is a beautiful and new facility with study lounges, suite-style rooms, garbage rooms at the end of each floor, five entrances, free laundry, a kitchen facility, a great room on the ground floor for hall events, and 2 bathrooms for six people in a shared living space. The downtown of Binghamton is charming with good places to eat and good entertainment. Greek life is dominant on campus and provides many activities.

Admissions

Must complete the common or SUNY app with an attached essay, 2 letters of recommendation, FAFSA. Early action available. Minimal scholarship opportunities.
