The people and the assignment.

Working from home is never going to compete with in-person interaction and enjoying communal workspace.

Advice to Potential Interns

The best thing about AT&T is the breadth and depth of positions the company has to offer. As one of my mentor's put it, you can be a chef, a CFO, a flight attendant, a sales rep, a marketing director, or a product manager. The sky is the limit at AT&T and they value their employees quite a lot. Don't look at Market Share or Share Price, look at quality of life and employee feedback.

Advice to Management

I think everyone at AT&T did a phenomenal job at AT&T with the first summer of virtual interns. My one piece of advice is order more monitors incase this is the case next summer, interns assigned to projects with lots of data and spreadsheet content need more than a laptop screen for successful completion of assignments. But again, this advice is COVID related which no one could have anticipated.
