“Great culture, many opportunities to network and grow personally and professionally, meaningful work”
Columbia, SC2019VERIFIED INTERN
Uppers

Interns were given work that was meaningful--we created documents and artifacts that were actually being used and enjoyed by employees. There was ample opportunities to grow; supervisors and mentors ALWAYS asked if there was anything they could do or if we wanted to take on additional projects. The people are perhaps the best part--culture at Aflac is one of the greatest. There is not a single person that was unwilling to help the interns.

Downers

I didn't like the office workspace. It is standard, enclosed cubicles but in their other locations, everything was collapsed, open, and collaborative.

Advice to Potential Interns

The HQ location of Columbus, GA is SO different from the Columbia, SC location. Columbus campus is huge and includes multiple towers/buildings; Columbia is a lot smaller.

Advice to Management

An established system of mentorship (your supervisor is also considered your mentor, which kind of confuses the roles).
