Based out of the Edinburgh consulate I was given a lot of responsibility to manage relations with senior members of the Scottish government.
DownersThe application process is incredibly slow (with the required security clearance) and it means you have to turn down other offers before you definitely have the position.
Advice to Potential InternsIf you are interested in a career in diplomacy than try and network and meet some people that work at State.
