The fact that I had the ability to met constituents and also do substantive work like research and write letters. I was given the opportunity to attend any hearings I wanted to and was encouraged to check out DC and the political sphere through networking and exploring.


Wearing a suit during summer, the cockiness of other Congressional interns, other than that I don't have complaints

Advice to Potential Interns

Reach out to the person in charge of recruiting directly. Give them a call and ask for that person (because the person answering will likely be an intern who will just say ok to anything you want to pass on). Ask to submit your resume directly to them.
