The only upside was it taught me exactly what I didn't want from a company for the rest of my careerDowners
0 focus on learning and development, interns are shut off and ignored by staff throughout the entire duration. In all my 'welcome chats' all directors / partners played on their phones and walked off at the end. Perhaps due to their lower desirability as a consultancy compared to bigger players, egos are rife - interns are expected to virtually beg to be given a grad offer and it is heavily looked down upon if you have offers elsewhere. There is no focus on integrating interns into the wider team, the firm lacks resources, knowledge banks and thought pieces that are a staple at larger, better firms. It is no coincidence why any grad that receives an offer anywhere else chooses to leave. Very little help is given to interns to teach them anything and the office politics and gossip culture are exist.Advice to Potential Interns
This is not a friendly or enjoyable place to work. I would view potential companies with culture in mind. If you are looking at consulting, anywhere is better than hereWould You Recommend
