- Project would have been difficult with a team that doesn’t vibe well togetherAdvice to Potential Interns
I came in as a developer with terrible impostor syndrome and not as much experience coding outside of a class environment, so I was scared of how smart everyone was. Just know everyone is learning something new at the internship and you are capable! Reach out to your team if you need help getting started with anything because chances are they really want you to succeed and you can catch on pretty quickly. What really helped our team was partner programming. This let a lot of people learn new technologies at once where we could later do it ourselves! Also Git is important hahaAdvice to Management
Like I mentioned earlier, paying attention to diversity in hiring would really benefit the industry especially as it pertains to underrepresented minorities in tech. It would also be really cool to go over pronouns during introductions. As a non-binary person, I would personally feel more seen in a corporate setting if leadership were to take this initiative.Would You Recommend
