In the last five years, we have hired more than 60 interns each summer across three different countries, representing more than 35 colleges and universities. We connect college students to experienced professionals in our business; interns are mentored by team leaders and managers, plus they participate in weekly leadership meetings.  We also forge connections through programming and networking events like our intern onboarding, internal career pathing event, executive brownbag sessions, senior service days and “Intern to Full Time Associate” panels.

On average, Schneider hires between 40% to 50% of the graduating seniors who participate in our Internship Program.  We think it’s telling that some interns who worked with Schneider before our formal program was established have tenures of 20 years or more.  If you become an intern at Schneider, you will quickly see the value of starting on a journey with our company at an earlier stage in your professional career – and then the benefit of growing that career with us over the long term.  Interns at Schneider grow not only professionally, but personally as well; the impact they make each summer is undeniable.

Qualified candidates should possess the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled in college or technical school with Freshman year completed
  • Pursuing a major relevant to the work at Schneider
  • Cumulative GPA 3.0 or greater
  • Analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment
