About Ericsson North America Summer Internship Program

The Ericsson Summer Internship Program allows students from various disciplines to gain real world work experience with cutting edge technologies. The program's focus is on developing skills in an open, diverse environment that encourages personal and professional growth. 

Ericsson's 10-14 week paid summer internships cover undergrad, MBA, and PhD students; begin in either May or June, and allow students to:

  • Gain meaningful work experience in their field of study

  • Be considered for a full-time opportunity upon successful completion of their internship

Ericsson has several opportunities available for our summer internship program.

 

In the Data Science areas, the competencies sought in a successful intern include:

  • Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline
  • Coding skills (such as Python, Java, or Scala)
  • Analytics tools experience (such as Pandas, R, SPSS, SQL, or Hadoop)
  • Experience performing analysis with large datasets

 

For the Engineering Internships, the competencies sought include:

  • Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar discipline
  • Computer Science, Technical Telecom, Electronics, or Computer Science Engineering experience
  • Technical understanding of: Cloud, Virtualization and IP
  • Exposure to Linux system
  • Coding skills (such as Python, Java, or Scala)

 

For the Operations & Service Delivery Internships, the competencies sought include:

  • Operations, Information Technology, Business, Computer Science majors
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies, Data & Analytics, or Machine Learning preferred
  • Experience with various technologies Sales and support experience
Eligibility

In Ericsson's internship roles you will need:

  • 3.0+ GPA​
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD on a full-time basis at a 4-year college or university​ • Be available to work 40 hours per week during the summer​
  • Have at least 1 semester left (post-internship)​
  • Major experience, or demonstrable interest in the position you apply for
  • Excellent communication as well as intercultural skills
  • Open-minded and motivated to work in multicultural team
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
