Kohl’s is a national retailer operating over 1,150 Stores throughout the country. We build great brands, launch new technologies to make shopping easier, contribute our time and dollars to improve the world we live in and dream up ways to empower our customers and Associates to create a life they love.
The landscape of retail is changing due to the explosion of new technologies. The IT internship in Milwaukee, WI is all about preparing students for a career in IT and being on the front of those changing technologies. During the summer, the interns will be put on different teams throughout the IT organization and do work from implementing changes to internal systems all the way to changing how the customer interacts with technology in the stores. The impact they make is real. But the internship is more than just the work. Interns have exposure to multiple leaders in IT as well as throughout the company. They get to see the city through Milwaukee Brewers games, boat cruises and dinners. They get to volunteer through our Associates in Action program to experience first hand the company values. They also get free housing on the UW-Milwaukee campus, transportation to and from work every day and the ability to participate in all team and Kohl’s related activities.
The work environment is fast. We want to be on the front of change and we need to be willing to adjust and adapt to new technologies and projects. The only way we are able to do this is through great people. The Associates at Kohl’s work hard and work smart. We work together and strive toward a common purpose.
