The San Francisco-based clothing retailer Gap, Inc. (“Gap”) has grown rapidly since its start as a single store in 1969. With billions in revenue, Gap employs more than 130,000 people and operates around 3,000 stores around the world. The company includes several popular retailers of clothing, accessories, and personal care products, including Athleta, Banana Republic, Gap, Old Navy, and Piperlime. In addition to its vast presence in the US, Gap has stores in Canada, China, France, Ireland, Japan, Italy, and the UK, as well as global franchises.
Gap’s summer internship program gives students an understanding of the retail industry and the numerous career opportunities within the company. Interns work on challenging assignments in a variety of roles, including graphic design, inventory management, IT, and merchandising. They also enjoy networking opportunities with Gap executives and learn about the company’s culture.
Open to college juniors and seniors and MBA students. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.
