The iHeartMedia Internship Program (unpaid – for college credit only) has been designed to provide qualified college and university undergraduate students with in-depth exposure to the radio broadcasting and digital operations at [102.7KIIS-FM, ALT 98.7, Real 92.3, KOST 103.5, 104.3 MYfm, KFI, AM 570 & The Patriot].
The internship offers the opportunity to explore career interests, network with professionals, develop an understanding of the broadcasting industry and have some fun while learning. Interns rotate through multiple departments including Programming, News & Community Affairs, Production, Media Integration, Online/Web Development, Digital Video, Digital Design and Sales departments and/or can focus on a particular department (subject to operational capabilities).
First 3-4 weeks - the intern immerses him/herself in a specific department (which he/she interviewed and was assigned).
Next 6-8 weeks - the intern actively rotates amongst a minimum of 4 different departments (including, but not limited to those listed above) giving him/her a better understanding of how each work independently (outside of his/her assigned department).
Last 3-4 weeks - the intern returns to his/her original department (with a better understanding of how the departments work together).
This internship is located in Burbank (CA), not paid and for college credit only.
Completion of the program does not entitle you to or guarantee employment with the company.
- Intern candidate must be a college student and able to receive school credit for the internship.
- The time commitment is a minimum of 3 days a week (equaling 15-20 hours a week) which includes weekly 2-hour intern meetings.
