About Museum of Modern Art

The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) has hosted and housed dynamic exhibits of modern and contemporary art since 1929. The museum is located in midtown Manhattan and features a collection of architectural plans, drawings, illustrated books, paintings, photographs, prints, and sculptures, among other works of art and temporary exhibitions. Some of MoMA’s recent exhibitions include Alina Szapocznikow: Sculpture Undone; Inventing Abstraction, 1910-25; New Photography 2012; Performing Histories; and Tokyo 1955-1970: A New Avant-Garde. MoMA also partners with MoMA PS1, an organization focused on the advancement of contemporary art.

MoMA hires interns into various departments within the museum, including administration, curatorial affairs, education and research, exhibitions and collections, external affairs, information technology, marketing and comunications, and retail. Interns work alongside a MoMA professional and receive on-the-job training. They also participate in weekly lectures and attend curator talks.

Open to college juniors and seniors, graduate students, MBA candidates, PhD students, recent graduates, and mid-career applicants. Non-US citizens are eligible.
