The Chicago Children’s Museum (“CCM”) is a nonprofit cultural institution with a mission “to create a community where play and learning connect.” Founded in 1982, CCM welcomes more than 650,000 visitors each year. Its primary audience consists of young children and their families, as well as school and community groups. The museum features 15 permanent exhibits and changing exhibits, including “Dinosaur Expedition,” “WaterWays,” and “Play It Safe.”
CCM interns work in a variety of the museum’s departments, including arts education, community outreach, early childhood, event planning, human resources, marketing, program development, and public relations. Each intern is assigned a supervisor with significant experience in the intern’s chosen area. Interns participate in their departments’ day-to-day meetings and projects and also have the opportunity to work independently on their own projects.
Open to undergraduates (sophomore year or higher), MBA students, graduate students, recent graduates, and mid-career applicants. Non-US citizens are welcome to apply.
