Medical technology specialist Becton, Dickinson and Company (“BD”) was founded in 1897 and patented its first product--an all-glass syringe--the following year. The company is now a leader in medical technology, with offices in dozens of countries worldwide. BD is divided into three segments: BD Medical, BD Diagnostics and BD Biosciences. It manufactures and sells medical devices and supplies, laboratory instruments, and diagnostic products. BD has been named one of the World’s Most Admired Companies in the Medical Equipment industry by FORTUNE.
BD interns gain practical work on real projects that affect the business. Undergraduate interns fulfill a variety of entry-level roles, while recent graduates may take advantage of the company’s various development programs--ranging from information technology to manufacturing to strategic sourcing development to supple chain. MBA and graduate students are recruited as interns to fulfill roles in business development, corporate planning and strategy, finance, marketing, product development, and research and development. Advanced degree students may also consider BD’s Technology Leadership Development Program. At the conclusion of the program, interns are evaluated to determine if they are a fit for a full-time position.
Open to rising undergraduate seniors or MBA and other graduate students who have completed their first year of studies. Non-US citizens are welcome to apply.
