About General Electric Experienced Commercial Leadership Program (ECLP), Financial Management Program (FMP), Human Resources Leadership Program (HRLP), Information Technology Leadership Program (ITLP)

GE works on things that matter. The best people and the best technologies taking on the toughest challenges. Finding solutions in energy, health and home, transportation and finance. Building, powering, moving and curing the world. Not just imagining. Doing. GE works.

With more than 300,000 employees and operations in over 140 countries, GE employees reflect both the local communities we serve and the people with whom we do business. We see diversity and inclusiveness as an essential part of our productivity, creativity, innovation and competitive advantage.

In 2012, GE delivered solid results despite the tough economic climate with earnings of $16.1 billion. Industrial cash flow from operating activities for the year remained strong at over $17.8 billion. GE traces its beginnings to Thomas A. Edison, who established Edison Electric Light Company in 1878. In 1892, a merger of Edison General Electric Company and Thomson-Houston Electric Company created General Electric Company. GE is the only company listed in the Dow Jones Industrial Index today that was also included in the original index in 1896. GE has locations in more than 160 countries.

How we deliver results is as important as the results themselves. GE seeks to lead in workplace and marketplace integrity by respecting the human rights of everyone touched by our business, and by enforcing legal and financial compliance. These commitments are detailed in our integrity policy, The Spirit & The Letter, which every employee supports with a signed pledge. Naturally, the passion that our people bring to their work extends to their own private worlds, and GE is committed to enabling a healthy balance between the two. GE encourages our people to meet their work commitments while balancing their own life responsibilities.

GE is committed to taking on the world’s toughest challenges. In order to fulfill that promise around big issues like clean energy and affordable healthcare, we rely on a culture of leadership and diversity to drive innovation and productivity. The success of diversity at GE is a reflection of the integrity of our leadership and builds a strong foundation for future leaders to continue our tradition of inclusiveness. By bringing individuals, cultures and ideas together we create a stronger company and a better world.

An internship or co-op at GE gives you hands-on experience, working on challenging projects with some of the best minds in business.
