The HR College Connections program has a guiding principle to execute a relationship strategy on college campuses in close proximity to main FedEx Services geographies that will deploy FedEx resources to effectively compete for talent. A summer internship program is centrally coordinated across FedEx Services with a program goal of placing interns in areas that will have the most need for full-time positions in the future.
The internship is a 10-week paid assignment for students pursuing a college degree. Assignments are directly related to the intern's academic degree. Under direct supervision, interns perform duties as assigned. The program takes place from June through mid-August and includes a formal performance review as well as some team-based project assignments. Also, interns participate in a number of centrally organized events providing visibility into the overall operations and future of FedEx.
To be eligible, a student would have completed 2 years toward a college degree and be enrolled the spring semester preceding and the fall semester following the summer internship. Ideally, the student should be graduating within 12 months of completing the summer internship and available for full-time employment thereafter. Details regarding specific project assignments as well as skills and experience will be included in each job posting.
