For over a quarter of a century, Oracle has been producing the software that has shaped the technology of businesses around the world. Oracle has reported steady growth despite the economic downturn: in summer 2008, it created a global business unit to develop software applications for the health care industry.

Marketing - Corporate Marketing is a dynamic organization that utilizes modern marketing principles and technology to drive awareness of Oracle and its value proposition to the many markets Oracle serves, and to deliver marketing campaigns in support of Oracle's Sales organization. An intern's responsibilities include assisting with development, analysis, and documentation of marketing projects and tasks; assisting with developing marketing strategies for promoting programs and services; providing input and suggestions on improving marketing processes and execution; responding to requests for information, in person or over the phone, and provide necessary customer service to internal and external customers; and assisting the marketing team by performing a variety of specialized and routine administrative assignments, including general clerical tasks.
Open to college sophomores, juniors and seniors majoring in computer science.
Requirements differ depending on the internship program:
Marketing: Oracle is looking for candidates currently pursuing a Marketing or Business Administration undergraduate degree. The company is seeking candidates who are continuing studies in the fall after the summer internship ends. Those who apply must be strong self-starters who are capable of working both independently and in a team environment; have strong oral and written communications skillsl; strong organization skills with extreme attention to detail; and knowledge of typical business software applications such as spreadsheets, word processors, and presentation graphics. Applicants must also be energetic and bring enthusiasm in performing job duties. They must display strong professionalism and work ethic.
