With 131,000 people in 66 countries, Cargill produces everything from sugar and sweeteners to poultry and petroleum worldwide. The company was founded in 1865 and today pulls in sales revenues just south of $108 billion annually. Interns work in the legal department, which is located in Cargill’s headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota and has a staff of 385 people.
Summer associates at Cargill do much the same work as paralegals. They are also invited to attend regular seminars and company parties. Roughly three-quarters are asked to return as full-time employees after graduation.
Open to currently enrolled law students. Cargill prefers applicants in the top 25% of their class.
