The SPS Leadership Academy provides qualified participants with essential leadership, management, best practice, business and personal development tools they will need to foster long-lasting success in their careers. The program consists of an onsite work experience providing customer service at one of our client operations (typically in the mail center, reception, copy/print center, document processing, etc.) as well as weekly workshops that provide job skills related to management, teamwork, productivity and personal development. In addition, members of our Executive Leadership Team provide workshops related to various aspects of our business operations, including Finance and Marketing.
The work environment is corporate/professional with a keen focus on customer service. Participants are expected to wear professional attire during workshops and either uniforms (provided) or professional attire while working onsite at the client operation (based on the requirements of the operation).
The SPS Leadership Academy offers programs in the New York City; Washington, DC; Los Angeles and Chicago metropolitan areas. The program lasts for 12 weeks and is held several times throughout the year. It is an unpaid internship but provides college credit.
Qualified applicants should have a high school diploma or GED (or have taken the GED and are waiting for results), and should be eligible to live and work in the United States. All college and university students must be enrolled full-time and in good academy standing.
Applicants should have a customer service focus and be willing to learn.
Time commitment is 15-20 hours per week.
