Summer Interns work with clients through all stages of consulting projects: identifying the major issues that the client is facing, generating hypotheses against those issues, structuring & performing analyses, identifying creative but pragmatic options against potential market scenarios, developing conclusions, making strategic recommendations, and then developing plans to operationalize the agreed upon strategy.
In offices outside of North America, Summer Interns will join into a Home Team base for the first few years and work across a variety of industries.
In North America, Summer Interns join one of the various industry/functional communities:
- Consumer & Retail
- Communications, Media & Technology
- Digital Business & Technology
- Energy, Chemicals & Utilities
- Engineered Product Services (Aerospace & Defense; Automotive, Transportation & Industrials)
- Financial Services
- Health
- Operations
- Organization Change & Leadership
Requirements:
A blend of talents and skills is required of successful Summer Intern candidates, including:

Qualifications:
Successful Summer Associate candidates will also typically possess the following qualifications:
- Working toward an advanced degree, specifically an MBA, is highly preferred
- 2-5 years of relevant industry or functional work experience showing progressive/promotion and academic achievement
- Possession of outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and/or relationship-building skills
The Summer Consultant candidate will also typically possess the following qualifications:
- Working towards an undergraduate degree from a top-tier university
- Excellent academic achievement and demonstrated leadership skills
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience acquired through internships or study abroad programs
- Effectiveness in the use of analytical tools, e.g. spreadsheets and databases
