Lyft was founded in June 2012 by Logan Green and John Zimmer to reconnect people and communities through better transportation. Riders are connected with drivers through an app. Payment is made from a debit card, credit card or PayPal account attached to the user’s account with Lyft retaining a percentage of the final fee. Upon the completion of a trip, drivers and riders rate one another through a five-star scale meant to guarantee pleasant trips between all parties using the Lyft service.

Product Management Intern 2017 (San Francisco) – Lyft’s product management team leads the integration of engineering, data science and design to achieve the company’s vision for reinventing transportation. A product management intern must understand and analyze customer needs; be the voice of the customer; work with engineering to build and ship new products and coordinate with internal partners across the organization to ensure successful product launch.
In order to be considered for this position, an applicant must be currently pursuing a BA/BS or MA/MS degree in Computer Science or related discipline; have strong technical and analytical skills, and can work well with engineers and designers; possess a strong preference for action; do what it takes to launch, iterate, and learn; have strong analytical skills and are comfortable diving into the data and ideally have a passion for transportation and what Lyft is trying to achieve in sustainable urban transportation.
