About Raymond James Financial Programs for Students & Recent Graduates

Founded in 1962 and a public company since 1983, Raymond James is a diversified financial services holding company with subsidiaries engaged primarily in investment and financial planning, in addition to investment banking and asset management.

There are a number of opportunities for students and recent graduates to be found at Raymond James, including:

Corporate Internships: Raymond James offers ample opportunity for current students across nearly every department and discipline through a paid internship program that allows them to gain hands-on experience in a specific field while learning about the firm and its culture. Though the nature of work and collaboration will vary by department, the program provides an overarching curriculum and ample opportunity for interns to network with one another and with firm leaders.

OPTIONS Rotation Program: Designed to give top-performing, highly motivated graduates the opportunity to gain experience in a range of business areas, this program provides an opportunity to work closely with both senior leaders and other associates and analysts during four-month rotations in three distinct business units to get hands-on experience in financial disciplines. Participants take part in a wide range of professional development and networking opportunities supplemented by meetings, roundtable discussions and special events with Raymond James senior management, including the chairman and CEO.

Marketing Generalist Program: Developed with high-potential recent grads in mind, the Marketing Generalist Program offers the chance to work closely with senior managers, to help shape strategic initiatives and product planning, and to interact with creative teams in Raymond James’ in-house marketing, advertising and public relations agency. The role provides participants with meaningful assignments in all the areas of the firm’s corporate marketing functions, including marketing strategy, brand management, account planning and services, product management, interactive marketing, corporate communications, marketing research and analytics, and client experience.

Accelerated Development Program (ADP) for IT: The Raymond James Technology department offers outstanding opportunities for highly motivated graduates to gain knowledge and real-world experience with the ADP program. Participants will aligned to a track focused on a specific technology discipline, like project management, software development or information security, and paired with a mentor to work side by side on projects directly related to the operation of the firm while continuing their technical and business skill development.

Assistant to the Chairman (A2C): Raymond James offers a unique opportunity for bright, motivated MBA students and recent graduates in an environment that’s decidedly less aggressive but every bit as dynamic and challenging as any they would find in New York. Start at the top by working alongside the executive chairman.

Investment Banking Analyst: Get in-depth training from experienced bankers and hands-on involvement with active deals. Assigned to a specific industry or product specialty group (such as M&A Advisory or Restructuring and Recapitalization), participants will work with a team of professionals to meet the capital-raising and advisory needs of our corporate clients.

Equity Research Associate: Assist a senior analyst with research coverage in a specific industry group by researching and writing company reports, communicating investment information and conducting special projects, all while working with  investment banking, sales and trading counterparts to form an integrated equity capital markets team serving the firm’s corporate and institutional clients.

Institutional Equity Sales Associate: Work closely with senior analysts to support some of the firm’s biggest clients. The program offers participants an opportunity to build and maintain lasting business relationships that can help market the firm's equity research business to its institutional clients.

Requirements differ based on the position.  Please check for more information on openings as they become available, including requirements, application requirements and application deadlines.
