Perella Weinberg Partners (PWP) is a leading independent, client-focused financial services firm providing advisory, asset management and energy securities research, underwriting and trading services to a broad, global client base, including corporations, institutions and governments. Together with its affiliates, the Asset Management business has capital commitments and managed assets of approximately $14.6 billion. The global advisory business provides high quality independent advice and execution capabilities in connection with mergers, acquisitions, defense advisory, financial restructuring, and private capital raising. With more than 650 employees, PWP has grown and expanded its footprint with offices in New York, Houston, London, Abu Dhabi, Austin, Calgary, Chicago, Denver, Dubai, Los Angeles, San Francisco and the newest addition, Paris.
PWP hires Summer Analysts and Summer Associates to work in its advisory M&A and restructuring practices. The ten-week internship program gives interns the opportunity to develop tangible skills and gain real world transaction experience. At the start of the program, interns participate in a one-week training program. Our banker led training team designs a robust, detailed curriculum to develop interns’ modelling and analytical expertise. Training and staffings are complemented by social outings and networking events to deepen interns’ understanding of the junior banker role and the industry, and to develop strong connectivity to the firm.
PWP offers a truly distinctive experience where interns are staffed on lean deal teams and are expected to collaborate directly with the industry’s most highly regarded experts. Our entrepreneurial environment fosters an apprenticeship-like culture, and interns, like all junior bankers at PWP, are expected to take on an outsized level of responsibility and make an impact. Interns are encouraged to recognize and evaluate the nuances of each transaction, allowing them to develop a well-rounded, highly quantitative skill set. Responsibilities include building financial valuation models, creating client presentations, engaging in due diligence processes, and conducting company and industry research.
Summer Analysts are hired to work in our New York, Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and London offices, and Summer Associates are hired to work in New York, Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Chicago. New York interns join as generalists, while interns in other offices cover specific industries. Our Internship program is the primary source for our full-time class and successful interns are given the opportunity to return back to campus with full-time offers in hand!
We recruit juniors and 1st year MBA students for our Internship program. Candidates should possess a strong academic track-record and thorough understanding of core financial concepts. Other qualities we look for are a strong work ethic, a positive and collaborative attitude, clear and concise communication skills and the desire to take initiative and be the best at what he/she does. There are no work authorization restrictions to apply.
