Investment Banking Department – The comprehensive nine-week program, based in New York, allows interns to learn how to put our expertise to work in some of the most intricate and challenging mergers, acquisitions, financings and restructurings in the world. Interns will gain an understanding of the market data and technical skills they’ll use during training. They will learn corporate valuation, accounting and modelling from some of the industry’s top professionals Interns will apply what they’ve learned by making final case study presentations to Credit Suisse senior bankers, simulating the experience of pitching to a company's board of directors.
Investment Bank Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer (IB COO/CFO) - The IB COO/CFO organization comprises a number of specialist groups, which help to run, control, measure and change the bank. The Summer Analyst Internship Program allows interns to experience Credit Suisse in a comprehensive, nine week rotational program in their New York office. There, they will gain an understanding of various market data and technical skills you‘ll use throughout your career; learn valuations, accounting and modelling from some of the industry’s top professionals; and participate in the daily Investment Banking COO/CFO activities of Credit Suisse and gain insight to other divisions of the firm. Interns will also engage in a live, value-add internal project and make related presentations on value and progress to Credit Suisse senior management. They will network and learn from highly regarded in-house professionals who apply industry knowledge to our Credit Suisse environment.
Equities – Applicants to this Summer Analyst program will need energy, effective communication skills, enthusiasm for working as a member of a team and quick, on-your-feet thinking. Interns will also need strong analytical skills. They’ll gain valuable insight into a business that is an integral part of world markets. In addition, collaboration and the sharing of information and ideas are crucial to our profitability and our client relationships. Interns will receive technical and capital markets training from some of the industry’s top instructors and enhance their relevant functional knowledge with courses and simulations in a tailored curriculum.
Fixed Income - Strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to assess and interpret risk are a daily part of life on our Fixed Income team. Split-second thinking is essential to navigating a challenging fixed income environment. Interns will put their technological and product-based expertise to work in areas ranging from staging plain vanilla financings to delivering advice on liability management, structured finance, and hedging and derivatives. Interns will receive technical and capital markets training from some of the industry’s top instructors and enhance your relevant functional knowledge with courses and simulations in a tailored curriculum.
Global Markets Solutions Group – Interns will analyze companies using various and advanced financial techniques; examine the impact of a transaction on a client's capital structure and business; interact with both internal and external clientele; and train and work alongside professionals who are recognized as experts in their product groups and who regularly devise and execute transactions that make international headlines.
Operations – Interns that take part in this 10 week program will help develop and manage products with an eye towards seeking new and innovative ways to support Credit Suisse’s clients' changing needs. As Operations professional, interns will be part of a team that’s responsible for the management and execution of millions of securities transactions on a daily basis. Interns will learn about the financial markets and transactions in the "Life Cycle of a Trade" overview; receive business presentations from Credit Suisse professional; learn about the financial markets and transactions and the life cycle of a trade; and network and build relationships across a global organization.
Alternative Investments - Strategic insight and the ability to understand your clients' unique investment objectives are what are required in Alternative Investments, a business within Credit Suisse’s Asset Management division. Interns will have an opportunity to work in an area such as private equity, hedge strategies, credit investments or diverse strategies. Interns will train in a program based on your specific fund placement; participate in our PB&WM Products Analyst Training Program; gain an understanding of the market data and technology tools you'll use during training; and listen to business presentations from Credit Suisse professionals.
Technology - Work with 11,000 highly skilled specialists who work globally using nearly every conceivable area of technology - from application development and business engineering to systems architecture. The 10 week program allows interns to gain knowledge about the firm and the financial services industry through interactions with senior Technology leaders; contribute to a Technology project and present presentation for senior management; and network and build relationships across a global technology organization.
Shared Services - Shared Services provides high-quality, critical services to support Credit Suisse’s three major business divisions, and is vital to Credit Suisse's success. Credit Suisse offers a ten week Analyst program in its Chief Finance Office and the Chief Talent, Branding and Centers of Excellence. Interns will learn about the financial markets and transactions and the life cycle of a trade; receive business presentations from Credit Suisse professional; and network and build relationships across a global organization.
Finance - The Finance team supports the bank in its growth plans. There are a number of specialist groups within the Finance team, which include: Financial Accounting, Group Controlling, Group Insurance, Investor Relations, New Business, Product Control, Strategic Process Change, Tax and Treasury. Summer Analysts will take part in a 10 week program and develop specialist knowledge while enjoying a firm-wide perspective and learn how to deliver reliable and transparent information to stakeholders and how to optimize the use of financial resources. Interns will apply what they've learned by making final team project presentations to Credit Suisse senior management. They will learn from the experience of our highly regarded in-house professionals who apply industry knowledge to our Credit Suisse environment; and network and build relationships across a global organization.
Internal Audit - Internal Audit is an integral part of the Group's corporate governance and risk management framework. The primary role of IA is to assist the Audit Committee (AC), the Board of Directors (BoD) and Senior Management in their task to enforce, implement and monitor the Bank's guiding principles, policies and directives, thereby protecting the assets, reputation and sustainability of the organization. IA does this by providing a continuing objective and independent assessment of the associated risks, and an evaluation of the effectiveness of the Group's global system of internal controls and governance processes. Participants in the Internal Audit Summer Analyst Program will have an exciting opportunity to see and learn about almost every part of the Bank and have an opportunity to partner with talented people across the globe to come up with value added solutions.
