The Summer Internship Program at Ball Aerospace provides currently-enrolled students with the tools needed to launch their career. Through challenging projects, mentorship and hands-on experience, interns have an opportunity to gain valuable firsthand experience in the aerospace and defense industry. Throughout the 10-week program, interns are involved in networking events with executives, Ball site tours, career development opportunities, industry training and much more. Ball Aerospace summer interns also have the opportunity to participate in the BIRST (Ball Intern Remote Sensing Team) program – a Concept-to-Flight experience where teams of interns from all majors design, build and test payloads, and then get to launch them on either a high altitude balloon or a Future Heavy rocket in partnership with ULA.
The competitively-paid internship program spans a wide array of professional areas, such as Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Strategic Operations, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity and more. We consider the summer intern program to be an effective method of recruiting the best and brightest for full-time jobs at the company, and often hire interns after they complete school.
