PwC has two internship programs, Advance and Start. Advance includes professional internships for undergraduates and MBAs. Start is an introductory internship which provides students the opportunity to learn more about our firm while further developing the skills necessary for success in the business world.
PwC's interns will be actively engaged in the PwC professional services world, which we believe is the best learning environment. At the completion of the internship, interns know what is expected of them at PwC and will have had a glimpse of future opportunities for professional growth and development. Interns are a vital part of our business, and we continue to look for ways to enhance their experience here to give them a realistic preview of what it is like to work in a professional services organization, with hands-on client experience.
All interns participate in training designed to develop technical skills. The physical and virtual classrooms, however, are only the beginning of the learning experience; coaching and on-the-job experiences are all part of intern development at PwC.
Experience challenging and relevant assignments, while working directly with PwC partners, principals, and staff. Interns will practice our commitment to client service by executing responsibilities and gaining insight into the professional services sector.
Leadership Development Experience
Interns engage in dialogue with a dedicated coaching team focused on guiding them through the internship, providing in the moment feedback and developing them into a PwC Professional.
A very important component of PwC's Internship Experience is providing the interns a realistic job preview of both the profession and PwC. The shadowing experience allows interns to develop knowledge of all levels of the firm, gain insight to how the roles and responsibilities vary, and strengthen connections and build long lasting professional relationships.
Each year PwC provides select interns the opportunity to shadow members of our US Leadership Team, including Bob Moritz, chairman and senior partner of the US firm. This experience provided interns the opportunity to understand leadership's vision for PwC US and see the PwC Experience through leadership's eyes.
Interns live corporate responsibility by participating in community service projects. For PwC, corporate responsibility is about taking deliberate actions that highlight not only the integrity that we take to our clients and to the marketplace every day, but also the commitment we have to our people, our communities, and the environment. In 2014, PwC interns completed 24,700 volunteer hours - the equivalent of a full-time job for one person for 11+ years!
Interns are provided activities to network and socialize within their office, outside of their day-to-day responsibilities; relationship building is instrumental to overall career success.
International intern experience
The International Intern Experience is an opportunity for interns to immerse themselves in PwC's global network through working abroad. Selected interns will have the chance to acquire and expand critical skills that will help them succeed in a truly global landscape while experiencing a new culture, making friends, and enjoying new life challenges. Working with our global network of firms, the US firm will send interns to offices around the world for a one-week assignment. Interns will be paired with a current US assignee abroad to experience life inside the world's leading professional services firm--at home or overseas. Participating interns will develop many new skills and qualities that will be valuable for their future careers.
All undergraduate interns who receive a full-time offer at the completion of their internship are invited to travel to Disney in Orlando, FL for Launch, PwC's intern milestone event. Using the Walt Disney theme parks as our "living classroom," interns experience an innovative and experiential-based curriculum provided by the Disney Institute. The skills and knowledge obtained through this unique experience will give interns an edge both professionally and personally as they continue their education and begin a full-time career with PwC.
The internship offers a unique opportunity to apply their work and academic experience and help our clients address their most interesting and complex business issues and opportunities from strategy through execution.
Comprehensive training and onboarding brings all interns throughout the country together at the start of their internship to acclimate to PwC, network and gain essential consulting skills that will help jump-start their career with the firm.
All interns can expect an authentic client service experience - whether they are staffed on proposal work or project teams, interns are expected to leverage their knowledge and experience to help serve our client's needs.
A world-class culmination event, Engage, is held at the end of the internship at an off-site resort location. Engage brings together all interns with full-time offers to celebrate their accomplishments with firm leadership and their peers.
Requirements vary by position. See the job description.
