ENVISION allows students to explore potential career paths with Elliott Davis while obtaining the technical skills, training, and work experience needed to excel in the public accounting field. Interns also participate in various community service projects, putting into practice one of the firm’s core values, which is to make a positive impact on its clients, its people, and its communities.
Elliott Davis is a business solutions firm offering a full spectrum of services in the areas of tax, comprehensive assurance, and consulting services to diverse businesses, organizations, and individuals. Founded in 1920, the company has nine offices located throughout the Southeast and includes a network of nearly 800 professionals in major domestic markets and alliance resources across the globe.
Their ENVISION program is a nationally ranked internship experience designed to give students the opportunity to explore potential career paths with Elliott Davis, and obtain valuable work experience in the public accounting field. You’ll also gain fun and unique experiences through professional development seminars and an ongoing community service project.
ENVISION interns will be exposed to a variety of accounting areas, and gain hands-on experience through both assigned responsibilities and a collaborative capstone project. Assignments and projects will span the fields of auditing, consulting and advisory, compilations and review, tax services, and more. Through these opportunities, interns make significant contributions to the firm, and receive unmatched preparation for their careers during the ENVISION program.
Listed below are just some of the responsibilities and expectations for an ENVISION Intern:
1. Professional/Technical Competence
Begin to identify issues and applies accounting principles/assurance
Learn to utilize Information Technology tools in project-specific
Receive exposure to the preparation of business correspondence.
2. Client Focus
Receive direct experience working with clients.
Apply exemplary work habits and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Become part of a client service team.
3. Business Focus
Hone communication skills and keep managers informed of work status
Develop strong time and work management skills.
Gain a deep understanding of the firm and its capabilities/services.
4. Staff Development
Foster an environment of collaboration.
Develop a growth mindset and approach to work.
5. Personal Development
Understand and enhance strengths utilizing the StrengthsFinder
Cultivate a sense of importance around engaging in community service and
Listed below are the requirements for ENVISION Interns:
• Must be enrolled in an accounting program (or related major)
• Must be at least a rising senior by the time the internship commences
• Must have a GPA of 3.25 or greater
• Must be legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
