Venture Capital Lawyers

It’s very difficult to land a job as a lawyer at a venture capital firm because the industry is extremely small and most managing partners are unwilling to hire attorneys who they do not know personally or who have not been recommended by colleagues. Still, there will always be a need for skilled VC lawyers to help firms perform due diligence, draft legal documents, and protect intellectual property. “Business today is knowledge-based and technology-focused, making the protection of patents and trademarks a thriving practice area,” according to national staffing firm Robert Half Legal’s 2016 Salary Guide for the Legal Field.
