Certification, Licensing, and Special Requirements

Certification or Licensing

Certification by the American Board of Urology is for a 10-year period, with recertification required after that time. Certification requires the successful completion of a qualifying written examination, which must be taken within three years of completing the residency in urology. Certification requirements are subject to change and details can be seen on the American Board of Urology's Web site,
