The Department of Labor reported that the average annual salary for dispatchers was $37,150 in May 2015. The lowest 10 percent earned $22,430 and the highest 10 percent earned $61,780 or more. Dispatchers who worked in general freight trucking earned an average of $41,430 per year, which translates to $19.92 per hour. Specialized freight trucking dispatchers had slightly higher incomes: Their average annual salary was $43,620, or $20.97 per hour. Payscale.com reported the median salary for trucking and transportation fleet dispatchers in January 2016 was $41,926, with salaries ranging from $25,023 to more than $56,952.
