Solutions Architects

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) does not provide an employment outlook for solutions architects, but as managers, they can be categorized under the DOL’s more general heading of “computer and information systems managers.” Employment for workers in this category is expected to grow 15 percent from 2014 to 2024, or much faster than the average for all careers. The DOL reports that “prospects should be favorable in this occupation because older computer and information systems managers will retire over the next decade. Because innovation is fast paced in IT, opportunities should be best for those who have extensive work experience and knowledge of the newest technology.”
