Life, physical, and social science technicians (all other) earned a median salary of $48,090 in May 2017, according to the Department of Labor. The lowest paid 10 percent earned $27,990 or less and the top paid 10 percent earned $78,840 or more. Those who worked in aerospace product and parts manufacturing averaged $67,540 per year while those employed in federal agencies earned about $57,300 per year.
