Parole Officers


The U.S. Department of Labor reports that the median annual salary for probation officers and correctional treatment specialists (the category under which parole officers are classified) was $49,360 in May 2015. The lowest 10 percent earned $32,900 or less annually, and the top 10 percent earned $86,140 or more annually. Earnings vary by location and by level of government. Parole officers who have advanced degrees generally earn more than those with only bachelor's degrees.
