Nursing Instructors

Unions and Associations

Three of the associations that are most relevant to nursing instructors are the American Nurses Association (ANA), the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN),  and Discover Nursing, which is sponsored by Johnson & Johnson. The ANA Web site has an entire section for educators that includes several online studies of interest to future nursing instructors. The AACN Web site devotes several of its online studies to the shortage of nursing instructors, including "Nursing Faculty Shortages" (2015). The AACN site also has a career link that leads to a description of a faculty development program. Finally, Discover Nursing is a well organized Web site that helps students find schools and scholarships that can lead them to programs that will help them become nursing instructors.
