Live Streamers

Work Environment

Live streamers and live gaming streamers work in offices in their homes and in company offices and studios. They may spend time outdoors for live streaming outdoor events and activities. Their hours will vary; they may work during the day or they may work evenings and weekends. Some work part time while holding day jobs in other fields, so their workdays may be especially long. People may think live streaming is easy but the job can be stressful. It entails doing different tasks at once, such as playing a game online while commenting in real time and simultaneously interacting with audiences and subscribers. Live streamers also must put in extra hours keeping up with new technology and software, games and game upgrades, and promoting themselves to increase their audiences and paying subscribers.
