Incomes vary for live streamers depending on whether they work a full-time employees or part-time contract workers. Those who work on a contract basis may be paid anywhere from $1,000 or less to $5,000 or more per month, which could be $12,000 to $60,000 or more per year. Professional streamers with millions of subscribers can earn $1 million or more per year. They earn money based on the number of subscribers they have, with the media platform taking a percentage of the subscription fee. Live streamers may also earn money from advertising and sponsorship revenue. Live streamers who are employed full time by companies usually receive employment benefits such as health insurance, paid vacation and sick time, and profit sharing.
