Industrial-Organizational Psychologists

Outlook

Job opportunities for industrial-organizational psychologists are expected to grow much faster than the average for all careers through 2024, according to the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). The DOL predicts that “organizations will continue to use I-O psychologists to help select and keep employees, increase organizational productivity and efficiency, and improve office morale.” It’s important to remember that because the field is so small, only a small number of new jobs will be created despite the prediction for fast growth.
