The American College of Health Care Administrators offers voluntary certification to nursing home and assisted living administrators who meet educational and work experience requirements and pass an examination. Certification must be renewed every five years. Additionally, the American College of Healthcare Executives offers the fellow designation to candidates who pass an examination and meet other requirements. Here are a few other major associations that provide certification:
