Earnings of glaziers vary substantially in different parts of the country. For example, glaziers in New Jersey, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, and Minnesota received the highest wages. Salaries were much lower in Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, Maine, and Kentucky. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) reports that in May 2015, median hourly wages of glaziers were $18.96, or $39,440 annually. Hourly wages ranged from less than $12.28 ($25,550 annually) to $38.01 ($79,050 annually) or more. However, bad weather, periods of unemployment, and other factors can mean that the number of hours glaziers work, and thus their real earnings, are considerably lower than the high hourly figures suggest.
