Fire Inspectors

History

Fire kills more Americans than all natural disasters combined. The National Fire Protection Association reports that fires in the U.S. caused 3,275 civilian deaths, 15,775 civilian injuries, and $11.6 billion in property damage in 2014. In this same year, 64 firefighters died in duty-related incidents. Fire inspectors use their knowledge of fire science, building codes, and fire-suppression methods to help eliminate this deadly problem.
