Financial quantitative analysts usually work in a corporate office environment. Much of their work is conducted independently, through online research and by talking on the phone with clients. Some may work from their home offices. Travel is also required for client meetings, conferences and events, and conducting research by visiting other companies' locations. They often work more than 40 hours per week, with long work days that may extend into the evenings and over the weekends.
