Energy Brokers

Work Environment

Energy brokers work in corporate offices. They may also work for small businesses and those that are self-employed work in home offices. The work hours are usually 40 hours per week during normal business hours. Energy brokers spend much of the work day on the computer, conducting online research and e-mailing with current and prospective clients. They also speak regularly with clients by telephone and have face-to-face meetings to discuss energy products and negotiate contracts. They work independently as well as in teams.
